News: Post-Doc Position Available at Texas A&M University! Evaluating Effect of Nanoparticles on Crops.

The Zachry Department of Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for a postdoc position in Dr. Ma’ research group. The postdoc researcher will primarily work on a USDA supported project to evaluate the effect of engineered nanoparticles on agricultural crops. The prospective applicant should hold a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, Plant Biology, Plant Physiology, Ecology or related field before application. Candidates with knowledge on important physiological and biochemical processes (such as plant responses to oxidative stress, processes governing plant drought resistance) and analytical skills on these processes are particularly encouraged to apply. The candidate is expected to have proficient communication skills in both written and spoken English. The position is expected to be filled around mid-March, 2015. The initial employment will be a year. Extension of the position depends on both the availability of funding and performance.
