ITRC Pushes Innovation Window: Announces New Remediation-Plus/Stormwater BMP Team

ITRC is taking its environmental innovation mission to a new level.  Today, this state-led, public-private coalition announces the formation of a new team that will focus on stormwater best management practices (BMPs).

Teaming with scientific and regulatory stormwater experts, ITRC will identify best methods for evaluating pollution-reduction capabilities and verifying the ongoing performance of stormwater BMPs.  This project, beginning Fall 2015, will enhance regulatory compliance evaluations and encourage more environmentally appropriate and cost-effective BMP choices.

ITRC will soon open registration for this innovative project.  By joining the team, you will help regulators become familiar and comfortable with the diversity of stormwater technologies and practices.  The team will also include technology developers and users-as well as academics and stakeholders-to help identify solutions, reduce stormwater pollution, and establish national norms for evaluating BMP performance through the development of a guidance document and internet-based training.

More information about this team is available here.
