News: Seeking Abstracts for Phytotechnology Session at 2015 Battelle Conference

Battelle’s Third International Symposium on Bioremediation and Sustainable Environmental Technologies will take place in Miami, Florida from May 18-21, 2015. More information here.

IPS member David Tsao is organizing a phytotechnology session for this Symposium, tentatively titled “Phytoremediation of Hydrocarbon-Contaminated Soils”. He is actively seeking your qualified abstract submissions ! One-page abstract submissions are due on-line by Sept 30. Please visit the Abstract Specifications and Submittal Page for complete details. Please be sure to enter “David Tsao” on the submittal form in the “Submission Requested” box and use temporary session code “6e”, to ensure that abstracts will first be considered for the Phytotechnology session.

However, please note the following information:

1. Abstracts must be submitted through the process outlined on the Abstract Specifications & Submittal page on the Symposium website.

2. Placement cannot be guaranteed. Most sessions will have 4 to 6 platform slots. Additional abstracts appropriate for presentation in the session will be scheduled as posters.

3. All presenting authors and session chairs are expected to register and pay the standard fees. This policy is necessary because registration fees are the major source of funding for the Symposium, and a significant percentage of registrants will make presentations or chair sessions. This statement appears in the Call for Abstracts and on the website, but it is possible that an invited speaker might incorrectly assume his or her registration fee will be waived.
